Questions we hear most.
Short answers. Where a question needs more, we link to the page that covers it.
The product
What does Veriteus do?
It analyzes what people say and how they say it, checks it against the file and shows the person asking where an answer diverges. It also suggests a follow-up question.
Does Veriteus decide whether someone is honest?
No. It marks passages worth a second question. A person reads them in context and decides.
Does it read what people feel?
No. Veriteus doesn’t infer what someone feels. It looks at features of speech, the content of a statement and, on forms, how answers are given.
Which modules are there?
Voice, Content and Form. Each works on its own or together. Video analysis is on our roadmap.
Accuracy and false alarms
How accurate is it?
In a controlled setting, accuracy was over 70%. When Veriteus flags a moment, it’s right about four times in five, but it doesn’t catch every one. Results depend on language, call length and the documents available. Treat the output as input for a person. Pilot results are confidential and shared under NDA. Your own pilot gives you your number.
Older voice tools raised too many false alarms. Why is this different?
A flag here leads to a question, and nothing happens on its own. The follow-up answer shows whether the concern holds. You also set the threshold, so you decide how often flags appear.
Are people really that bad at judging statements?
On average, yes. In a review of 206 documents (Bond and DePaulo, 2006), people were right 54% of the time, and experience didn’t help. See The science.
Data and law
Where does our data go?
On-premise, it stays in your infrastructure. In our EU cloud, we process it in the European Union on your instructions, under our data processing agreement. Trust & Security has the details.
Do you train models on our data?
Only if you agree to it in your contract.
How does the EU AI Act apply?
Veriteus supports a person who asks questions. It is designed so that it doesn’t make or replace decisions about people. We work with external counsel on how the AI Act applies to each use case.
Who is the controller under GDPR?
You are. We act as your processor under a Data Processing Agreement.
Do people know they’re being analyzed?
They should be told, and our Responsible use policy requires it. How and when depends on your process and the law that applies to it.
Do you hold any security certification?
Not yet. We’ll show a certification only after an auditor issues one.
Deployment and starting
Can it run on-premise?
Yes. Veriteus is built to run inside your infrastructure, without access to other systems or the internet. It can also run in a cloud in the European Union.
Our IT team is busy. How much integration does this need?
A pilot needs none. We analyze a sample of closed cases in your environment. For live use, Veriteus connects through an API, and integrations are scoped per deployment.
We don’t have training data. Can we still start?
Yes. A pilot needs a sample of past cases with known outcomes, not a training set.
What does it cost?
It depends on the deployment, the modules and the volume. We quote after we talk. Recruiters can join early access on the For recruiters page.
