Before you grant access, know which answers to question.

Veriteus supports the interviews behind hiring, periodic reviews and supplier checks at critical infrastructure operators and public bodies. It runs on-premise or in an EU cloud, whichever your rules require.

Built for organizations that run what others rely on.

A criminal-record check is the floor.

Since August 2025, Czech law has required critical infrastructure operators to verify the reliability of their staff and job applicants. The legal minimum is proof of identity and a clean criminal record. A record shows the past. It can’t tell you whether a person’s reasons for wanting access have changed since they joined.

The act transposes the EU Critical Entities Resilience Directive. Under Article 14, a background check covers at least identity and criminal records.

Directive (EU) 2022/2557, Article 14.

Three points where an interview matters.

  1. Before access

Interviews for critical roles before someone starts. Veriteus checks the answers against the application and supporting documents, and suggests where to ask again.

  2. Periodic reviews

Regular conversations with people already in critical roles, with the same marked passages and suggested questions.

  3. Supplier and applicant claims

When a supplier or applicant states something you can’t easily verify, Veriteus checks the statement against the documents they submitted.

Product concept, simulated interview

Veriteus adds a documented, human-reviewed input on top of the checks the law requires. It doesn’t replace them, and it doesn’t replace security clearances.

Hiring for a senior role outside critical infrastructure? Our recruiter tool checks interview answers against each other, the CV and the role.

Veriteus for recruiters

Your security team decides.

A flag is a reason to ask. Veriteus doesn’t decide about people, infer what someone feels or replace your vetting specialist. The person asking makes the call. Each flag shows the passage behind it.

Runs where your rules require.

Veriteus runs on-premise or in an EU cloud.

Built in the Czech Republic by a Czech and Slovak founding team. Our models are our own, built on research with the University of West Bohemia.

On-premise

Inside your infrastructure, without access to other systems or the internet. Recordings, transcripts and statements stay with you.

EU cloud

In a cloud in the European Union.

Trust & Security

Start with reviews you’ve already done.

Take past interviews or supplier files where you know how things turned out. We run the analysis inside your environment and compare the flags with what you already know. No live case is affected.

  1. Pick past interviews or files

  2. Analyze them in your environment

  3. Compare flags with outcomes

Your results stay yours. Pilot results are confidential and shared only under NDA.

Questions from security teams

Does Veriteus replace background checks or security clearances?

No. Identity checks, criminal records and clearances stay as they are. Veriteus supports the interview your team runs on top of them.

Does the law require a tool like this?

No. The law requires operators to verify reliability and sets the minimum. How far you go beyond it is your decision. Veriteus is one way to make that step structured and documented.

Can it run without an internet connection?

Yes. Inside your infrastructure, without access to other systems or the internet. Recordings, transcripts and statements stay with you.

Do the people interviewed know?

They should. We expect operators to tell staff, applicants and suppliers that a conversation is recorded and analyzed, and why. Our Responsible use policy sets this out.
