What Veriteus is for, and what it will never be used for.
Veriteus analyzes statements in high-stakes conversations. That puts a responsibility on us and on every customer. This page sets out both, and forms part of our Terms.
A tool for the person who asks the questions.
Veriteus marks where an answer diverges from the rest of a statement or from the file, and suggests a follow-up question. It supports an interviewer, an adjuster or an investigator. It doesn’t act on its own.
- It marks passages and suggests questions.
- It shows the passage behind each flag.
- It leaves the decision to a person.
Limits built into the product.
- It doesn’t decide about people.
- It doesn’t infer what someone feels.
- It doesn’t rate or rank people.
- It doesn’t replace a specialist, a legal check or a security clearance.
- It isn’t designed to make or replace decisions about a person’s rights, status or liberty.
Uses we don’t allow.
These limits apply to every customer and every deployment. They come from our team’s own values, and we write them into our contracts.
- Monitoring everything a person says, at work or anywhere else.
- Family, partners or other private relationships.
- Personal use or entertainment.
- Repression of opponents, journalists, activists or minorities.
- Customers in countries that aren’t democracies governed by the rule of law.
- Analysis of people who haven’t been told, as the law requires, that their conversation is recorded and analyzed.
- Any use where a flag alone leads to a decision about a person, without a human review.
- Using output to confirm a conclusion already made. A flag opens a question. It doesn’t close one.
A person decides, every time.
Every flag is reviewed by a trained person who can ignore it. Customers set who reviews flags, how they’re trained and how decisions are recorded. A decision never rests on Veriteus output alone.
- The reviewer sees why a passage was marked.
- The reviewer can dismiss any flag without giving a reason to the system.
- Thresholds for flags are set by the customer, not fixed by us.
People keep their rights.
Our customer is responsible for the data it analyzes and is the first point of contact. We support customers in answering these requests.
- To be told that a conversation is recorded and analyzed, and why.
- To see the personal data held about them.
- To have a decision reviewed by a person and to contest it.
- To have data corrected or deleted where the law allows.
Questions about how your data was processed? Contact the organization that spoke with you. If you can’t reach them, write to info@veriteus.tech and we’ll forward your request.
What we expect from customers.

If the policy is breached.
We may suspend or end access for a customer who uses Veriteus against this policy.
